Sent this tweet this morning, but then I went to check out #Peace and found that most tweets about peace looked like this:

This reminds me of when Bono, the lead singer of the band U2, introduced U2′s cover of the song “Helter Skelter”: “This is a song Charles Manson stole from the Beatles; we’re stealing it back.” I say we steal #Peace back.
Peace has become a hollow word detached from feeling. We hear it every day, especially during the holiday season, but it never causes us to stop, think, or do something.
Bloggers for Peace have decided to do something. We are devoting the next year to delving into Peace and putting Our Heart back into this idea.

Personally, I have decided to put my money where my mouth is. Every month I will post a Monthly Peace Challenge (Kinda like the Daily Press Weekly Challenge). If you sign up for Bloggers for Peace and complete all twelve challenges, I will send you a FREE Bloggers for Peace T-Shirt. Talks are still underway about who will design the shirt, but Rarasaur, Cinna from the Hunger Games, and David Choe are on the short list.
